e11th-hour.org welcomes the submission of articles from diverse perspectives on the following political and socio-cultural topics:
civil liberties
disaster response/preparedness
foreign policy
global media
regional security

In submitting articles for publication consideration, please adhere to the following guidelines:

. format . criteria .
Single articles should be a minimum of 1,500 words, but no longer than 3,000 words. Subject matter that requires lengthier presentation may be broken into segments, and presented as a series of articles.

Articles may be submitted in the following formats:
standard ascii delimited format (.txt)
rich text format (.rtf)
or within the body of an email

Please submit articles in left-aligned format. Bold type, italics and underlining may be used for emphasis only.

Please include your name and telephone number. Pen names may be used, but not screen names or email names (ie: rant123 or rant123@company.com).

Supporting graphics may be submitted in the following formats:
.gif
.jpg
.tif
.bmp
.png

All submissions must be the original work of the author, and should not be resubmissions of writings published elsewhere, with the following exceptions:
  • Political candidates may submit articles which have been used previously in their campaigns.

  • Articles originally published on the author's personal website may be submitted—please provide a link to that website.

  • Articles originally posted to email lists, usenet newsgroups or message boards may be submitted.

Articles that promote hate mongering, racist views, obscenity, or use vulgar language will not be considered for publication.

While debate and counterpoint views are welcomed and encouraged, personal attacks on other writers or contributors to site material will not be accepted.

All accepted articles will be edited and proofed by our staff. Should major editing be necessary, edited article(s) will be returned to the author for approval, along with notification of scheduled publication date.

We do not pay for submissions that are chosen for publication.

Accepted submissions do not become the sole property of e11th-hour.org; authors retain all copyright privileges; copyright information will be included on accepted articles at the time of publication.
